As we chat, I am currently on a plane headed for Chicks Who Click. We are so excited to spend time with such talented photographers.
This week the special is for our tiles. Our background tiles are each 20 inches square. We sell the tiles individually but recommend purchasing nine. We fee like that makes a nice 180x180 square wall. This size is perfect for newborns, sitting babies and walking toddlers. This size allows you to use mini furniture and still be able to stay within your shooting area.
They are light weight, super-thin and easy to use. Hang them from any wall or foam core with tape, velcro or glue. We have done our tiles a lot of different ways. Here are a couple:
You can lay them down (face down) and make the size of square you want. Use packing tape to stick the tiles together and come half of an inch over the front. Go vertical and horizontal across the tiles. This makes a wall of tiles that can be leaned up against another wall (without even having anything behind it). We even folded them up like this and shipped them to a client that needed the tiles right away but we were out of them. She didn't care that they were used, she just needed them fast! I wish I knew the customer's name...I'd give her a shout out!
Another way to put them together is on a large backing (wood, plywood, styrofoam). They can be attached with velcro, packing tape, duct tape. The duct tape would be a more permanent.
learn a whole lot. Take pleasure in the remaining portion of the year. You are performing a brilliant job.
